We are chosen by God to participate in the riches of Heaven. We have been joined to a glorious future awaiting us. 

Paul prayed that we might have Holy Spirit-inspired wisdom and revelation that we might know Him… NOW…and in this knowing, understand the hope He has called us to, embracing His riches and His power to live our life NOW..

This was Paul’s prayer for the readers of this letter – which includes us. He prays for us to receive spiritual wisdom and revelation, yes. However this does not mean we sit around waiting for this to happen. The word “know” is a verb – an action word. In other words, we are to participate in this “knowing” process. We need to set ourselves up to be able to recognize all of this when it happens. God has given us a hope – an excited sense of expectancy that something glorious awaits us – not just THEN… but also NOW! We can participate in His riches and power NOW.
