Once again, God’s Word reveals a bit of me to… me. Kind of the point for devotional time, isn’t it?

Initially, I set out to do an in-depth study of these 10 verses… but I just could not tear my gaze away from verse 7, 8 and 11:

 

 

7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 

8 This is why it says:

“When he ascended on high,
he took many captives
and gave gifts to his people.”

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service…

These verses served to solidify (in my mind, at least) my place in the Church.
