Episode 14 – Essays in Romans 2:2-4… Truth

March 27, 2026

When I was growing up, truth was something solid. It was fixed, objective—something you discovered, not something you created. Truth stood outside of you. It didn’t bend to your preferences, your feelings, or your experiences. It simply was. If something was true, it was true whether you liked it or not, whether you agreed with it or not, whether you even knew about it or not.

But somewhere along the way, our culture began to redefine truth. Now we hear phrases like, “Well, that’s your truth,” or “This is my truth.” And on the surface, that can sound compassionate—like we’re trying to respect one another’s experiences. But underneath, it carries a much deeper implication: that truth itself is flexible, personal, even negotiable.

In fact, it is not truth at all. It’s an opinion.
