Have you ever known someone who tried to live off of their past glories? Pretty common in the music world. Yesteryear’s stars trying to stay relevant for today’s audiences is not uncommon. As hard as they try, they are just not relevant any longer. That was the city of Sardis and that, apparently, was the Church there as well.
